“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” ~ Nelson Mandela
I put this quote on my “Goals Poster” last year.
I cut it out of a magazine and glued it on my poster.
It spoke to me as I had worked so hard to recognize and face the fears I had that prevented me from moving forward.
Now all I needed was courage to get things going.
Yup!
That’s all.
Sometimes with a little courage and sometimes with A LOT!
It’s been over a year now since then…And I have been “couraging” more than I can ever remember! 😀
As soon I feel that my decisions are being made out of fear or when I tiptoe around a small issue, I act on it immediately: not away but move right into it.
By the way, I’m not talking about walking into danger or fire here. Just thought I’d clarify that!
It’s about the phone call you have to make, the email you need to send, the conversation you’re supposed to have, the project you’re supposed to begin, the love you need to surrender to, etc.
I walk right into them to discover what’s on the other side, with excitement.
I have set some very high goals to achieve and without courage, they will be impossible to do so.
It’s a must-have accessory.
I even find myself pointing out other people’s “stoppers” when communicating with them… just like performing magic! They love it and ask me how they can do the same.
Being courageous means being vulnerable by baring your heart and soul without the fear of judgment.
If you practice the awareness of it on an ongoing basis, after a short while, it will become second nature to you.
It’s time to bring out the courage in YOU to face and overcome the fears that prevent you from the life you deserve.
Your goals are awaiting you around the corner to be conquered.
All you have to do to be courageous to look in and see it for what it is, no more or less, and take a different route than what you’re “used to”.
It means giving yourself the gift of the most beautiful, honest, pure and passionate life.
So get cracking, Tan Fans!
