“In many ancient societies dreaming was considered a supernatural communication or a means of divine intervention, whose message could be unravelled by people with certain powers.” – Wikipedia
There’s been a freakin’ movie theatre in my head for the last two months!!
I haven’t felt the need to go to the movies ever since it all started. I go to sleep and without a doubt I have a dream. The interesting part of it all is there is one main theme that continues night after night!
This is not the first time this has happened as last year, too, I had a few good months of nonstop ”movies”. However, this is the first time that my dreams are quite vivid, lucid and continuous.
I know my dreams are delivering what’s hidden in my unconscious mind and of those who appear in my repetitive dreams. In Freud’s opinion the unconscious mind “is a repository for socially unacceptable ideas, wishes or desires, traumatic memories, and painful emotions put out of mind by the mechanism of psychological repression. However, the contents do not necessarily have to be solely negative.” Hmmmm!
This is my key and insight to my and another’s mind and I feel powerful to be able to look in. It’s the connection of thoughts, emotions, and energies through the power of subconsciousness. I am learning about my hidden-self through these dreams on matters I’ve been avoiding or longed to learn about. My “Free Night Theater” has given me a piece of mind and I am looking forward to more episodes. I perceive it as a form of cleansing – sort of like spring-cleaning but right before winter. 😀
